Cynefin Pamoja CIC is an award-winning community-focused organisation that is committed to fostering racial inclusivity, celebrating diversity, raising awareness about social challenges and providing employment opportunities to marginalised people. The etymology of the name Cynefin Pamoja is formed of two languages. Firstly, the word ‘Cynefin’ means "Belonging” or a sense of habitat in Welsh. Secondly, the word ‘Pamoja’ means "Together" in Swahili. 

Cynefin Pamoja’s mission statement is to empower individuals and organisations through community. The objectives for our organisation are to offer educational anti racist resources to equip people for an anti-racist Wales by 2030, reduce barriers to employment and host cultural social events that highlight the cultural richness and diversity of communities in Wales. Our objectives enable us to support people in Wales to become proactively anti-racist as part of the Welsh Government’s Anti-racist Wales Action Plan to make Wales anti-racist by 2030. Achieving these objectives also ensures that we provide people with access to decent jobs and secure livelihoods, particularly people who traditionally feel excluded from fully participating in society. 

Our mission objectives are achieved by attending schools, businesses and third sector organisations to deliver our bespoke anti-racism training package, along with Welsh Government’s Anti-racist Virtual World in the form of the Anti-Racism Curriculum modules for the further education sector Wales (antiracism. Wales). In order to reduce barriers to employment we also facilitate CV building workshops on Microsoft Teams and in person, linking young people with employers and providing them with apprenticeship opportunities. The social events we host also provide employment and volunteering opportunities to the participants, venues and performers. Our cultural social events have received public support from local MPs, Councilors and other influential members of society. Our social events have also earned us coverage in local newspapers and on national TV programmes such as BBC, ITV Wales etc.
